I've been trying so hard to figure it out and now I don't have to. I started to make a chart then looked on the comments for help. Well, at least I tried...
I made a matrix and I found out that Ivamov and Malinkov are both girls and Jacobowinski and Lebedev are boys.

Allen is right because first Ivanov is a girl and she cant be the composer because she invited the composer. Also, it says the singer complimented Malkinov on HER soup so it has to be a girl.
I found out that Ivanov is a female singer, and Malinkov is a female architect based on the matrix.
Lebedev and Malinkov are male, so Lebedev is the composer and Malinkov the dancer.
Lebedev has to be the composer also in a matrix because he got invited with his wife to dinner and the dancer said he enjoyed playing chess with Lebedev. So he cant be the dancer and he's the only guy left so he is the composer and that means that Malinkov is the dancer

A matrix is a table that has the 2 or more values that correspond. For example, take names and jobs. (we are doing that)

I Think That Ivanov is the singer.
i made a matrix with the names on one side and the occupations on one side and when i found read if a person was a boy or a girl i wrote it next to their name so i think that Ivanov is a girl and she is the singer, Jacobowski is a boy and he is the dancer, Lebedev is a boy and he is the composer and Malinkov is a girl and she is the archatect.
Btw everyone who said that you couldn't do it because the answer is already up... well try reading the question and figurng it out first before you read the coments thats what i do also the answers you read are not ALWAYS right so you can still do the the problem just to make sure.

put names on top going across and jobs going down then below the jobs going down i would have 4 sets of male and females and just do it like that.
